Commercial Epoxy Flooring Systems in Sydney

Resin Me Epoxy installs commercial epoxy flooring systems across Greater Sydney for warehouses, workshops, retail and hospitality back-of-house areas, showrooms, plant rooms and other concrete floors. Each system is specified around the substrate, intended use, access, cleaning routine, traffic and finish required for the project.

Concrete preparation is the first stage of every epoxy installation. The accessible slab is inspected and mechanically prepared to remove weak surface material and create the profile required by the coating system. Existing coatings, glue, paint, contamination, cracks, moisture concerns and damaged concrete are assessed before the final installation scope is confirmed.

The quoted system may include a primer, one or more epoxy body coats, decorative flake or fine aggregate and a compatible protective topcoat. The exact build, colour, texture and cure schedule depend on the products and project requirements stated in the written quotation. We do not apply a generic coating specification to every commercial floor.

Epoxy can create a seamless, durable and easier-to-clean surface when the concrete, preparation and coating system are suitable. It is not maintenance-free, and no floor is completely slip-proof. Where added texture is required, the aggregate and finish must be selected with the client around the expected traffic, cleaning method and operational use.

Commercial Epoxy Flooring Options

  • Solid-colour epoxy flooring systems
  • Decorative epoxy flake floors
  • Quartz-textured commercial finishes
  • Protective clear topcoats where specified
  • Line marking or colour zoning where included in the project scope
  • Repairs and detailing identified in the written quotation
  • New installations over mechanically prepared concrete

Our Commercial Epoxy Installation Process

01 — Site and Substrate Assessment

We review the concrete condition, existing finish, contamination, cracks, drainage, access, working hours and the way the completed floor will be used. Testing or additional investigation may be recommended where the substrate condition is uncertain.

02 — Mechanical Concrete Preparation

Commercial grinding equipment and suitable tooling are used to prepare the slab. Edges and accessible detail areas are treated with smaller equipment, and the floor is industrially vacuumed before coating begins.

03 — Repairs and Primer

Repairs included in the quotation are completed using materials compatible with the intended system. The specified primer is then applied to the prepared concrete in accordance with the product and site requirements.

04 — Epoxy Body Coats and Finish

The selected epoxy layers are installed at the agreed coverage. Flake, quartz or other texture is incorporated only where specified, with attention to edges, penetrations and transitions.

05 — Topcoat, Cure and Handover

A compatible topcoat is applied where included. Access is restricted during the stated cure period, and the client receives practical guidance about initial use, cleaning and ongoing care.

Designed Around Commercial Use

Commercial floors can be exposed to vehicle and trolley traffic, equipment, spills, repeated cleaning and changing operational demands. We discuss these conditions before selecting a system. Chemical exposure, heat, wet processes, substrate movement and unusually heavy loads must be disclosed so the proposed products and limitations can be reviewed.

If the project requires substrate preparation only, see our concrete floor preparation service. You can also review completed installations on our commercial flooring projects page.

Commercial Epoxy Flooring Maintenance

Routine sweeping or vacuuming and suitable wet cleaning help prevent grit from abrading the finish. Spills should be removed promptly using cleaning products compatible with the coating. Damage, localised wear or a visibly dull clear finish can be inspected to determine whether repair or a future maintenance coat is appropriate.
