Service Overview
Commercial Concrete Grinding in Sydney
Resin Me Epoxy provides commercial concrete grinding across Greater Sydney for warehouses, factories, workshops, retail fit-outs, construction sites and other large concrete areas. Mechanical grinding is used to remove weak or unwanted surface material, reduce suitable coatings and contaminants, correct selected high areas and create the specified surface profile for the next flooring system.
Commercial grinding is not simply a cosmetic pass over the slab. The equipment, diamond tooling and number of passes depend on the concrete hardness, existing coating or residue, required removal depth, access, edges and the handover condition required by the project. We inspect these factors before confirming the written scope.
Our main grinding equipment can be connected to commercial dust extraction to capture dust at the source. Smaller edge and hand-grinding equipment is used in accessible areas outside the reach of the main machine where included. Site-specific protection, power, access and waste arrangements are considered during quoting and planning.
Grinding can expose cracks, aggregate variation, old repairs, contamination and differences in concrete hardness that were hidden by a coating or floor covering. It does not automatically level an entire slab or guarantee a uniform decorative finish. If repairs, levelling or additional removal are required, they are identified and quoted separately.
Commercial Grinding Scope

- Weak laitance and surface-residue removal
- Preparation for epoxy flooring, tiles, vinyl and other specified systems

- Accessible edge and perimeter preparation
- Industrial vacuuming and prepared-slab handover
Our Commercial Concrete Grinding Process
01 — Site Inspection and Scope Review
We review the accessible slab, current finish, contamination, floor area, edges, services, power requirements, equipment access and the preparation outcome required by the next trade.
02 — Tooling and Equipment Selection
Diamond or removal tooling is selected for the concrete and material being treated. A test area may be recommended where the coating, bond, slab hardness or achievable removal rate is uncertain.
03 — Controlled Mechanical Grinding
The slab is treated in planned, overlapping passes. Cutting response and the remaining surface are monitored so the grinding method can be adjusted without removing more concrete than the agreed scope requires.
04 — Edge and Detail Work
Accessible edges, doorways, columns and restricted sections are prepared with suitable smaller equipment where these areas form part of the quotation.
05 — Vacuuming and Handover
The work area is industrially vacuumed and reviewed against the quoted preparation standard. Newly exposed defects or further work are raised with the project contact before the next flooring stage.
Grinding for Commercial Flooring Projects
We work with builders, head contractors, flooring installers, facility managers and property owners. The grinding scope can be coordinated with demolition, fit-out and flooring programs to reduce conflicts between trades and protect the prepared slab before installation.
Where a project requires several removal and preparation methods, see our concrete floor preparation service. Examples of completed large-area work are available on our commercial projects page.
